Bettendorf Pediatric and Family Practice has been providing family medical and pediatric care
in the Quad Cities area since 1993. Our Doctors, Pomilla C. Kumar, M.D. and Alisha Kumar, M.D., and clinical and support staff are all experienced, with a unified goal to make our patients feel as comfortable as possible during their visits. We treat both adults and children and accept most private insurance, IA State Medicaid, and Medicare.
Alisha Kumar, M.D.
Dr. Alisha Kumar was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She moved to Davenport, IA in 1994 at the age of 10 and has been an Iowan ever since. She went to medical school at The University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. Dr. Alisha completed her pediatric residency training at Blank Children’s Hospital. She joined Bettendorf Pediatric and Family Practice in February 2017. Dr. Alisha is particularly interested in management of ADHD, developmental delay, asthma and allergies, among many other conditions.
Dr. Alisha has had health issues of her own and is very empathetic because she understands what it is like to suffer with medical issues and navigate through the health care system.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family (dogs included!), seeing Broadway shows, and traveling. She has a great sense of humor and is excited to get to know you and your kids!
